My jaded, distrusting side grins at the sleekness of this man as he sells his wares to an America desperate for someone to lead it out of the darkness. The emotionalm reactive side of me that's at the edge of giving up on our beloved but broken system of the people, wants this man to be real so bad that he's willing to take a chance on him

Any way you look at it, this one's going to be historic: the first black, the first woman, or the first man who didn't seek a way to skate on 'Nam.
It's a bitch, though, because the way our system works, a person has to earn some political cred to run for president, and that's damned hard to do without earning some negatives along the road.
In spite of the negatives, I'm excited. I'm pumped. I'm donating my stimulus rebate to my candidate :-)
You know, it kinda comes down to what you've posted in your profile here about dancing between generations. Sometimes, we just gotta suck it up and dance the dance we know, the dance we love even though we feel it the next morning, the dance we know needs to be danced.
Play that number...you know, the one with the nice beat you can mosh to...
I am not sure yet....
But it;s time to throw out the two year olds who say, "They did it to us, so we should do it to them..."
I just hope the dems don't beat themselves broke before the real fight in the fall.
