A quick reminder of how this is done...
I do this mostly because I have a theory that every week there is at least one new S.W. reference in modern mass media, showing the impact Star Wars has had on our-at the very least-popular culture.
- They must have been seen at some point during the week between Saturday and Friday at the time of my post.
- No previously viewed reruns, this one will have to be on the honor system, if we know it’s coming it’s not fair.
- I will do my best to name the episode number being referenced.
- Shows dedicated to Star Wars count.
- Occasionally I will find a reference in a non-SW movie but only in emergencies.
- Please bust me if I screw up just be nice, this is just for shits and giggles so don’t come down on me too hard.
- If you see one that I didn't please post it!
This week's reference came early, and from a relatively new show, The Loop. The main character, Sam Sullivan, in a panic over a lost valuable asks his assistant where the trash is dumped. Her sarcastic response, "hold on let me plug my R2 unit in to the system beep boop, wee zorp..." obviously referencing the Episode IV scene in which Luke, Leia, Han and Chewy were trapped in the trash compactor while C3P0 and R2 were trying to locate the trash compactors on the detention level.
Once again my theory that there is at least one new Star Wars reference a week somewhere in mass media holds true.
Anyone see any others this week?
