Autistic Student-Athlete Shines (Snot Rag Warning)

We are in the beginnings of basketball championship season here in KY and things are tending toward the insane as usual. Before the boys high school bracket was finalized one of the regional finals was delayed because of a lawsuit brought by a referee who wanted the right to ref the game. The 2006 University of Kentucky Wild Cats were given a "mild cat" # 8 seed in the NCAA tournament only to face 1st round foiler UAB, AND the UK Lady Cats made the NCAA tournament for the first time in seven years with a # 5 seed.

Yet, another baketball story prompted this post, one that is way cooler. A great example of everything that can be good about high school sports. An unlikely star outshines a disability... for real. Video and story at Crooks and Liars

WARNING GET OUT YOUR SNOT RAGS

This kid could raise awareness and bring some real life non-Rain Man attention to autism. I'll do my part here's the Autism Society of America Site.
