New Orleans Stuggles to Open Schools
The "blank slate" That New Orleans Schools have been given has created a case study for every argument over what education in the United States should become. This report from NPR outlines some of the issues well.
A public school teacher who loves the idea of public school...but is more than a little concerned with the direction of the education establishment. Older teachers call me a crusader, younger teachers call me bitter and angry.
